Fantastic neighborhood Turkish spot! Been here several times and always have an amazing time! Ambience is clean, open and bright with tasteful minimalist decor. Service is always spot on and personable here regardless if they are busy or not. Must orders here are the several varieties of fish, but for those who eat Americanized fish, they take the head and tail off but the fish fillets are not your perfectly squared of pieces. The fish is grilled to perfection and simply served with a side of either grilled veggie, yummy pilaf rice or French fries. The octopus stew is the most buttery and tender octopus you'll ever have and who can not forget their kabob selections whether you do the chicken or lamb! Stick with the mix grill plate for both though so you get to try a selection of them all. End the night with some hot Turkish black tea or string Turkish coffee with a sweet piece of baklavah or a digestive night cap of Raki mixed with a little water and you are good to go! Can't wait for my next dl meal here!
Consistently good! Ordered lamb mixed grill— everything was delicious. Maybe the meatballs were less good than everything else. Chicken kebab is good here as well. Sautéed spinach appetizer we get every time
This was simply a Turkish delight. Great food & ambience, clean & quiet. We came here for dinner, and it was pretty quiet at 630-7pm, which was great for us - no crowd. The owner was very warm and welcoming. We loved everything we ordered. Finished them all of. Knocked a star off because we had some wait even when there wasnt a lot of people (heard though that they are short-staffed, so come earlier than when u will actually want to eat, so you wont be hungry while waiting); otherwise, we highly recommend this place!!!
This is a good and high class Turkish Meyhane. I love food and service. They super clean also food are delicious. Serving people super polite. Service and cooking time super fast. You will be happy there with family even single. Ownership and management great. I like their calamari and mix appetizer. When you there try Turkish Raki.
We had dinner and shared since the portions are generous. The branzino was fresh and excellent, and the Künefe dessert is a must—absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Third time at the Blacksea Fish & Grill and I have to say that they make really great food well worth the price. Had their delicious St. Peters Fish for diner and went back to have it again as a lunch special, I didn't expect the portion to be as much but it was plenty. I've also had the Char Grilled Octopus Salad with a side of pilaf(rice) and tried the Cheese Rolls which were really good. Great courteous staff! Thank you, I will be back very soon!
They have the reason to still be in business—even all those restaurants nearby are closing every year. Black Sea is the only one still standing. They have fresh well-made dishes.
With Turkish cuisine I was unfamiliar, so this experience was novel and enjoyable. The establishment is decorated beautifully with textured walls and maritime curios. There is a full bar. The menu offers traditional Turkish dishes in fish, chicken and mutton. There are also delightful desserts. There is passworded wi-fi. The prices are fair and the waitstaff very helpful. The bathroom is a tight fit yet clean. No street side parking, but in the mall across Queens Boulevard one can find affordable parking.
